About the Forum

Baltic Maritime Forum is one of the biggest annual international research and practical events bringing together under its aegis a number of scientific conferences, round table discussions and workshop sessions on development of science and education in maritime industry, manufacturing industry and agriculture of the Baltic Sea region.

The Forum is aimed at exchange of technological advances, expansion of cooperation in science and technology and elaboration of effective procedures for implementation of groundbreaking ideas in shipbuilding, IT, aquaculture, ecology, agriculture, food biotechnology, aquatic bioresources and functional food technology.

Traditionally, the Forum discusses main scientific and technological trends that determine development of the modern domestic and world fisheries industry. A special role is given to consideration of new educational technologies and improvement of the system of integrated networked maritime education, latest trends and challenges in creating interactive distributed laboratories, as well as intelligent systems for managing coastal infrastructure facilities and territories based on situational center technologies.
